As he was preparing for the day ahead, Jesus said something startling.\u201cNormally,\u201d he said,\u201cthe master sits at the table and is served by his servants. But not here!I am your servant.\u201d Jesus could have demanded their allegiance. He could have instructed them to bring him some sandals and iced tea(with a lemon slice and one of those little paper umbrellas). He could have called down his angels and waylaid everyone in his path, especially Judas\u2014the guy who was about to betray him.But instead, he attended to their needs, he washed their feet, and he served them food and drink. Jesus turned the tables upside down.<\/p>\n
