We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.He was despised,and we did not care.<\/p>\n

If you had been in the crowd that day,what would you have done?Would you have yelled at him?Would you have denied the miracles your own eyes had seen him do?Would you have looked at the open slices across his back,and would you have patronized him or felt a ping of pity?When somebody spit on him,would you have laughed or would you have watched it unfold?When he collapsed under the weight of the cross,would you have stepped out of the crowd to help him lift it back up?Or perhaps you wouldn\u2019t have participated in any of it at all.Maybe you would have fled town,overcome with fear and grief.Afraid or unwilling to honestly confront the rejection absorbed by the Savior,people still turn their backs on Jesus to this day.But,ironically,that\u2019s why he carried the cross through the crowd.<\/p>\n
