The wounds of Jesus are beauty marks.After his resurrection,Jesus presented himself to one of his followers,a man named Thomas,a man who doubted whether or not the resurrection had actually happened.To prove who he was,though,Jesus showed him the nail scars in his hands and feet,and the spear wound in his side.Not pretty.Certainly terrible.But definitely beautiful.<\/p>\n

Even in his resurrected state,Jesus chose to keep his scars.They mean everything to him.His wounds show his story,a story that is woven with more love and intentionality than the world had ever understood before.The Creator of the Universe,the one who had been rejected,was crushed to bring life.His scars are evidence of this good news.<\/p>\n
