As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world\u2019s interest in me has also died.<\/p>\n

What would happen today if you boasted about Jesus? What if, instead of bragging about your own accomplishments or calling attention to your own problems, you spoke boldly and favorably about what Jesus did on the cross? What would you even say if you chose to do this? Why would you even do that? People don\u2019t want to hear you talk about that, do they?<\/p>\n

Well, many of your friends or family are glad to hear you talk about what\u2019s important to you, right? What if forgiveness from Jesus through his death on the cross were important to you? Proud parents put their kid\u2019s picture on the fridge because they celebrate their child. A good husband buys flowers because he is honored to be married to his wife. A caring teacher displays a student\u2019s artwork because she loves what was created.\u00a0None of these people are worried about what others might think. They just feel the need to share and rejoice.<\/p>\n

Pray for the Day:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross to save me from sin. Let your forgiveness sink to the very core of who I am. Let it overwhelm me today. And let me brag about you a bit. Amen.<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n
