We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.<\/p>\n<p>2 CO R I N T H I A N S 4 : 8<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>R2-D2 was the only one who could save them. Luke, Leia, and Han Solo were all trapped in the Death Star\u2019s garbage compactor. (Yes, this is a geeky but awesome illustration!) The walls started compacting, ready to squish everyone inside. It looked like all was lost\u2014that is, until R2-D2 disabled the detention cell\u2019s garbage compactors and the heroes were able to escape.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes life feels a lot like this. Pressures close in on us like a trash compactor on the Death Star. No matter what creative options we devise to wrangle free, no amount of personal effort could offer rescue forever. But Jesus is freedom. He didn\u2019t need to use a cool digital arm with decoding software or a bunch of beeps and boops. Instead, he used the resource at his disposal: his abundant life. Even in overwhelming circumstances, Jesus enables people to escape from being crushed so they can keep on fighting. Stand confidently today by finding freedom\u00a0in Jesus\u2019 everlasting ability to rescue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pray for the Day:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><i>Dear Jesus, in those moments where I become overwhelmed today,<\/i><\/em><em><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/em><em><i>give me the hope of your life.
