The word disciple <\/i><\/em>means \u201clearner,\u201d so a disciple of Jesus is a learner of Jesus. No matter how young or old someone is, being a learner of Jesus is the goal of that person\u2019s life. A Christian is never be a know-it-all; rather, a follower of Jesus is in a continual process of absorbing and practicing the teachings of Rabbi Jesus.<\/p>\n

One of the most important things a disciple of Jesus learns is this: Disciples make disciples. Learners of Jesus produce more learners of Jesus. This calling, to make other disciples, has come to be known as the Great Commission. It is the greatest difference-making, history-changing,<\/p>\n

boundary-breaking strategy this world has ever known. People at all stages of learning have discovered that knowing Jesus is the best thing anyone could possibly do. So from generation to generation and geography to geography, people have come to learn Jesus.<\/p>\n
