If you follow Jesus, then you won\u2019t have only the Son of God defending your back, you\u2019ll also have God the Father and the Holy Spirit too. You\u2019re covered. In a world where abandonment is such a big problem, this is indeed good news. But there is a key concept embedded here that should not be missed. It is true that God won\u2019t ditch you, but he also longs for you to not<\/p>\n

give up on him either. He asks you to love him and, in your love, to obey what he has asked you to do.<\/p>\n

To obey <\/i><\/em>simply means to \u201clisten.\u201d Jesus states the obvious: If you love him then you\u2019ll listen to him. And if you listen to him, then you might just hear him asking the Father to give you his Spirit, who will come to your aid, comfort you, empower you, and stand up for you in every circumstance at any given moment.<\/p>\n
