Even as our bodies and minds grow tired, and as our emotions need a rest from stress causers (like people and jobs), we should not let up on our responsibilities to the Lord. We are to serve him enduringly, forever, with fervor.<\/p>\n

It would be so much easier to play another thirty minutes on Clash of Clans. It would be so much more relaxing to binge watch for the rest of the afternoon. \u201cMe time\u201d is very alluring, especially when responsibilities hang over the head, stresses keep beckoning, and needy people wait out in the real world ready to suck the life out of us.<\/p>\n

Do you have something you should do today? Do you have something you could do for someone today? Do you have something someone asked you to do? What if you just did it? Like, right now? And what if, when you did it, you did it really well? And what if you kept in your mind that you were doing it for Jesus?<\/p>\n

Lord Jesus, help get me off my butt today. Motivate me to do hard work that helps someone in some way. Mostly, inspire me to focus my heart<\/i><\/em>\u2019<\/i><\/em>s work on serving you. Amen.<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n
