As we go under the water, it\u2019s as if our sin is washed away and Jesus presents us spotless before God. Baptism is also a lot like dying. It is a visual declaration that we have committed our sins and selfish pursuits to Jesus. It\u2019s as if we are being buried and agreeing with Jesus to leave our sin in the grave.<\/p>\n<p>Baptism is also a lot like resurrection. It is a picture of receiving new life in Jesus. As we are lifted from the depths of the water, it\u2019s as if our old life is gone and a new life has come. It is also like a big step, but it\u2019s also a simple one. It gives everyone who wants to follow Jesus a visual opportunity to show faith in Jesus in front of friends, family, and fellow followers of Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pray for the Day:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><i>Lord Jesus, thank you for washing me clean of my sins. Let me live a baptized life today.
