We\u2019ve all seen them. Men and women huddled up on benches with a piece of cardboard or some newspaper. Asleep. Or drunk. Or sick. Or stoned.<\/p>\n

Whatever. But there is a lot we haven\u2019t been willing to see. We haven\u2019t seen the families sleeping in cars. We haven\u2019t seen the malnourished boy skip gym class because he can\u2019t afford running shoes. We haven\u2019t seen the runaway daughter trapped in an industry that wants to sell her to the highest bidder.\u00a0We haven\u2019t seen the despair and death in the alley. Oh, we\u2019ve seen some problems. We know they\u2019re there. But we haven\u2019t seen the people. And that means we haven\u2019t noticed Jesus with them.<\/p>\n
