Lifeless. No pulse. DOA (dead on arrival). That\u2019s how the Bible describes faith that fails to evidence any vital signs. It\u2019s a dramatic statement, but the point is valid. Faith inhales and then exhales the very breath of God. So a faith with no indication of dynamic activity is no faith at all. Don\u2019t let the coroner be called out to comment on your faith: \u201cWell, what we have here is a depletion of oxygen.\u201d No, be alive with Jesus. Let him kick-start your heart and motivate your hands to action in this world. Let others see a living faith, pulsating with the life of the Creator of the Universe.<\/p>\n

At the same time, don\u2019t let others confuse good works with faith. No one earns a way to salvation or gets badges on their heavenly robes for doing good things. Good \u201cworks\u201d are simply the natural outflow of a living and vital faith. Because Jesus loves you, you can\u2019t help but share his love with others. Because Jesus forgives, you forgive. Because Jesus gives you security, you offer peace and confidence to your community. You overflow with the life he has given you. Don\u2019t be another person counted among the walking dead. Be alive today!<\/p>\n
