It\u2019s wrong to hit your little brother when your mom isn\u2019t looking, right? We know it\u2019s a sin to do bad things. Bad behavior leads to bad consequences. It\u2019s a transaction that we have learned does in fact take place. But if sin was just about not doing bad things, then someone could\u00a0conceivably lock themselves up and never do anything bad to anyone.<\/p>\n

This, of course, would be ridiculous, but at least that person wouldn\u2019t sin against others. Or would they?<\/p>\n

Well, what if sin also involved not <\/i><\/em>doing good things? If your little brother got his hand stuck in the refrigerator ice-making machine and started crying for your help, it would be wrong to just walk away and do nothing for him. You didn\u2019t put his hand in the ice maker\u2014check. You didn\u2019t<\/p>\n

hit him while his hand was stuck in the ice maker\u2014check (how kind of you!).<\/p>\n

But you didn\u2019t help him either. There is a lot going on in this world where\u00a0people are stuck. Don\u2019t just walk away..<\/p>\n
