Stop whatever else is in your mind right now except for this very moment with God. Halt any distraction. Press pause. This moment right now is an interlude in your life. Let the activities prior to this moment be still. Let the activities that will come after this moment wait. You\u2019ll get to them soon enough. They don\u2019t need you for the next few minutes. Stop. Quiet your soul.<\/p>\n

And listen.<\/p>\n

Selah <\/i><\/em>is a Hebrew word used dozens of times throughout the Psalms. Scholars think it means something like \u201cinterval\u201d or \u201cquiet break.\u201d It seems to be a moment in the activity of a song where everything pauses. In the vacuum of words and sound, people are encouraged to give reflection to God\u2019s mighty work. So take all of your to-do lists and hanging\u00a0over-the-head worries and put them aside for a moment. Reflect on this passage from Psalm 46 and then selah <\/i><\/em>for a moment.<\/p>\n
