This is a mind-boggling thought: Jesus considers you better than himself. Now certainly you understand, and Jesus understands, that Jesus is greater than you\u2014he will always be greater than you. After all, we know that he created everything that we can see, and even those things we can\u2019t see.<\/p>\n

He is the I am. He is the Prince of Peace, Almighty God. He holds everything together by the word of his power. In him is life in abundance. And yet, in his mind, in his sight, he considers you. In his vision, as he moves and acts in this world, is you. Given the choice between saving his own life or saving yours, he would save yours. In fact, that\u2019s exactly what he has already done. So how could you, or anyone, keep returning to selfishness? How could anyone still try to impress others as if they think they need to their approval? You already are being lifted up in the loving gaze of the Savior.<\/p>\n
