COLOSSIANS 1:28<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the first chapter of Colossians, the apostle Paul gives a heartfelt greeting to his friends in Colossae (a town in what is now southwest Turkey), writing about how much he prays for them. He also gives thanks for them because they are a part of the spread of the good news about Jesus \u201call over the world.\u201d And that\u2019s a great thing, Paul writes, because Jesus has rescued people from sin. The world needs to know that even though we were once enemies of God, Jesus, the \u201cvisible image of the invisible God,\u201d \u201cin all of his fullness,\u201d made peace through his death on the cross. It\u2019s a lot to pack in the first chapter of a small letter! But his point is simple: Because the Colossians were a part of a growing movement that was sharing Jesus with others, many people were developing a life-saving relationship with Jesus.<\/p>\n
