Usain Bolt is the fastest person on the planet. He holds world sprinting records and gold medals. But he didn\u2019t become that way overnight. He grew into it. He disciplined himself and the gift he was given. In fact, he has dedicated his entire life to a dramatic training regimen. His workouts are plyometric, meaning he engages in rapid exercises that maximize power in explosive succession. Sounds tiring? Or exhilarating? Both?<\/p>\n

Following Jesus asks for a similar type of dedication. Part of the reason for Make a Difference <\/i><\/em>is that we need a daily push to practice our faith. We are called to run through this world, spreading the good news and sharing its blessings. We need the determination of Rocky Balboa, mingled with the coaching of Knute Rockne, and the unflinching focus of Jesse Owens. Even as competitors try to defeat us or even take us out, we grow strong in the life of Jesus.<\/p>\n
