\u5929\u7236\uff0c\u6211\u8981\u8ddf\u968f\u7962\uff0c\u6211\u8981\u5c3d\u5168\u529b\u5e26\u9886\u6211\u7684\u4e00\u5bb6\u8ddf\u968f\u7962\u3001\u987a\u670d\u7962\u3001\u5355\u5355\u656c\u62dc\u7962\u3002\u6c42\u7962\u5e2e\u52a9\u6211\u5e26\u9886\u4ed6\u4eba\u4e5f\u5982\u6b64\u884c\uff0c\u7231\u7962\u3001\u5355\u5355\u656c\u62dc\u7962\u3002\u552f\u6709\u7962\u914d\u5f97\u4e00\u5207\u7684\u8d5e\u7f8e\u3002\u5949\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u7684\u540d\uff0c\u963f\u4eec\u3002<\/p>\n

\nChoose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.\uff08Joshua 24:15 RSV\uff09<\/p>\n

We hear a lot about\u201cfreedom of choice\u201d these days. But think about it.The very word\u201cchoice\u201d presupposes at least two alternatives.<\/p>\n

When Joshua asked the Israelites to\u201cchoose this day whom you will serve,\u201d the choice he gave them was between God and the false god Baal. Before waiting for their reply, Joshua announced his choice:\u201cAs for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n

Choices are offered throughout the Bible as they are throughout our lives. Repeatedly throughout Scripture, both God and man made choices.
\nGod commands man to make those choices, but only after providing him with sufficient information so that his choices will be informed ones.Because of truth in lending and truth in labeling laws, one cannot apply for a loan or buy a product in a supermarket without being furnished with certain information.<\/p>\n

This information is necessary in making intelligent choices. God has given us information about Himself, including His holiness, man\u2019s sinfulness, God\u2019s provision for that sin, Jesus Christ, and scores of promises to man about what will happen if he accepts God\u2019s promises and what will happen if he does not.Galatian 6:6-8 says,\u201cLet him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived;God is not mocked:for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some time ago there was a television program called\u201cTruth or Consequences.\u201dThe host of the program used to say to the contestants,\u201cIf you don\u2019t tell the truth,you will have to pay the consequences.\u201dIt is the same with choices.If you make the wrong choice,you will have to pay the consequences.But if you make the right choice,you receive all the benefits.So it is best to choose wisely;as Joshua did,because the choices we make have the potential for affection our lives for better or for worse.<\/p>\n
