ONE WOMAN\u2019S TESTIMONY<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Many Samaritans from that city believed in him because of the woman\u2019s testimony,\u201cHe told me all that I ever did.\u201dJohn 4:39,RSV<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The striking thing about this great revival at Sychar,when an entire city listened to the Gospel,is how God used a former sinner like this woman to be an evangelist.The disciples had gone to the city,and there had been little interest in them.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However,an hour or two later a woman who had been a prostitute threw the entire population into a ferment of excitement;and in a few minutes they were streaming out to meet with Christ.God had not chosen to use the church leaders.He had chosen to use a former prostitute.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As we look at history time and again,we are struck time after time by the fact that God has used the most unlikely and the most unworthy instruments to bring about spiritual awakening.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Time after time the principle is found exemplified that Paul laid down in I Corinthians,\u201cGod hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the\u2026mighty;and base things of the world,and things which are despised,hath God chosen,yea,and things which are not,to bring to naught things that are\u201d(I Corinthians 1:27-28).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Thus,no matter how sinful or unworthy we may feel today God can use us.Throughout history God has chosen ordinary people and unworthy people and the least likely people.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If God could use such a woman two thousand years ago to bring a revival to the city of Sychar,how much more God could use you and me today if we would put ourselves in His hand!He can use us in our community,our town,our city,our country!<\/p>\n
