\u5929\u7236\uff0c\u7962\u7684\u7231\u4f55\u7b49\u5947\u5999\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e8b\u5949\u8036\u7a23\u2014\u2014\u590d\u6d3b\u7684\u4e3b\uff0c\u7942\u5927\u6709\u80fd\u529b\u548c\u8363\u8000\u3002\u5929\u7236\uff0c\u613f\u8036\u7a23\u7684\u8363\u8000\u4f20\u904d\u5168\u5730\uff1b\u5949\u8036\u7a23\u7684\u540d\uff0c\u963f\u4eec\u3002<\/p>\n

THE SACRED SUMMIT<\/p>\n

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.<\/i><\/em>\u00a0 <\/i><\/em>Romans 6:6<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n

Calvary is the summit of love. \u201cThe law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ\u201d (John 1:17). \u201cGod commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us\u201d (Romans 5:8). The Scripture says that we are sinners. We have broken those Ten Commandments. We are under the sentence of death and deserve judgment. We deserve hell. The Cross, where Christ died in our place and where we can find forgiveness, is the only place to find forgiveness and have eternal life.<\/p>\n

Jesus Christ was crucified between two thieves on a rugged cross on Calvary. Jesus gave His head to the crown of thorns for us. He gave His face to the human spittle for us. He gave His cheeks and His beard to be plucked off for us. He gave His back to the lash for us. He gave His side to the spear for us. He gave His hands and feet to the spikes for us. He gave His blood for us. Jesus Christ, dying in our place, taking our sins on that cross, is love.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not the end of the story. He rose again, and He is the living Christ. Christ is alive. If Christ be not alive, there is no hope for any of us. But He is alive! If Christ be not alive, there is no hope for any of us. But He is alive! And the Scripture says, \u201cIf thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved\u201d (Romans 10:9).<\/p>\n

So what does this mean to me? It means that because Christ lives, I live also if I am in Him and He is in me. And the life that I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me (see Galatians 2:20).<\/p>\n
