\u7236\u554a\uff0c\u4ee5\u524d\u5728\u6211\u91cc\u9762\u6ca1\u6709\u826f\u5584\uff0c\u4f46\u5982\u4eca\uff0c\u85c9\u7740\u8036\u7a23\uff0c\u56e0\u7f94\u7f8a\u7684\u8840\uff0c\u6211\u5f97\u7740\u826f\u5584\u4e86\u3002\u8c22\u8c22\u7962\uff01\u7236\u554a\uff0c\u6c42\u7962\u4fdd\u5b88\u6211\u7eaf\u51c0\u5723\u6d01\uff0c\u8ba9\u6211\u4e3a\u7962\u800c\u6d3b\uff1b\u5949\u8036\u7a23\u7684\u540d\uff0c\u963f\u4eec\u3002<\/p>\n

CHRISTIAN CONVERSION<\/p>\n

For by grace are ye saved through faith;and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God:not of works,lest any man should boast.Ephesians 2:8-9<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n

The grace is God\u2019s:the faith is ours.God gave us the free will with which to choose.God gave us the capacity to believe and trust.Therefore within every conversion there is the working of the divine and the human;but their relation to each other remains a mystery.<\/p>\n

It has been my privilege to see thousands converted to Christ,and I still do not understand the mystery of God\u2019s grace and man\u2019s faith.But I know that both are involved.<\/p>\n

On the one hand,Jesus said,\u201cHim who comes to me I will not cast out\u201d(John 6:37,RSV).And on the other hand He said,\u201cNo one can come to me unless the father who sent me draws him\u201d(John 6:44,RSV).<\/p>\n

I am convinced that the Bible teaches the necessity of conversion.I am absolutely certain of my own conversion.I am equally convinced of the genuineness of the conversion of thousands of people in many parts of the world.<\/p>\n

Saint Augustine described his own conversion in a famous passage in which he said,\u201cI continued my miserable complaining.How long,how long shall I go on saying,\u2018Tomorrow,\u2019and again,\u2018Tomorrow\u2019?Why not now?Why not have an end of my uncleanness this very hour?<\/p>\n

\u201cSuch things I said weeping in the most bitter sorrow of my heart,and suddenly I heard a voice from some nearby house,a boy\u2019s voice or a girl\u2019s voice I do not know,but it was a sort of singsong,repeated again and again:\u2018Take and read,take and read,take and read!\u2019I arose,interpreting the incident as quite certainly a divine command to open my book of Scripture and read the passage at which I should open.<\/p>\n

\u201cI snatched it up and opened it and in silence read the passage[Romans 13:13-14]on which my eyes fell:\u2018Not in rioting and drunkenness,not in chambering and wantonness,not in strife and envying;but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ,and make not provision for the flesh,to fulfill the lusts thereof.\u2019I had no wish to read further,and no need;for in that instant,with the very ending of the sentence,it was as though a light of utter confidence shone in all my heart and all the darkness of uncertainty vanished away.\u201dIn that hour Augustine was converted.<\/p>\n

Before this moment,Augustine was one of the most wicked of men.In no sense could he be called a Christian.He was cultured and civilized,but nevertheless a pagan.As a result of this one experience he became one of the greatest Christian theologians of all time.<\/p>\n
