When we become Christians we can say,\u201cOur Father,\u201dfor those who receive Christ have the right to become children of God(John 1:12).So then we can look to God as our Father.We are to put our trust in Him and come to know Him in the close,intimate companionship of father and child.We can have a personal sense of His love for us and His interest in us,for He is concerned about us as\u00a0father is concerned for his children.<\/p>\n

As Peter Marshall once put it,\u201cGod will not permit any troubles to come upon us,unless he has a specific plan by which great blessing can come out of the difficulty.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is through the suffering,the tests and trials of life,that we can draw near to God.A.B.Simpson once heard a man say something he never forgot:\u201cWhen God tests you,it is a good time for you to test Him by putting His promises to the proof,and claiming from Him just as much as your trials have rendered necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are two ways of getting out of a trial.One is to simply try to get rid of the trial,and be thankful when it is over.The other is to recognize the trial as a challenge from God to claim a larger blessing than we have ever had.<\/p>\n
