What shall it profit men or women if they gain the whole world but lose their own families?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With a 50 percent divorce rate and more and more two-wage-earner households,the home as we have known it in the past,indeed,as God established it,is truly an endangered species.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Marriage and the family were not quaint ideas cooked up by society.The family was ordained of God before He established any other institution,even before He established the Church.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I want to suggest Ten Commandments for a solid,happy,God-honoring home:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

  1. Establish God\u2019s chain of command.The Bible teaches that for the Christian Jesus Christ is to head the home,with the wife under the authority of a Christlike husband and the children responsible to their parents.<\/li>\n
  2. Obey the commandment that you love one another.<\/li>\n
  3. Show acceptance and appreciation for each family member.<\/li>\n
  4. Family members should respect God\u2019s authority over them and the authority God has delegated down the chain of command.<\/li>\n
  5. It is important to have training and discipline in the home and not just for the family dog!<\/li>\n
  6. Enjoy one another and take the time to enjoy family life together.Quality time is no substitute for quantity time.Quantity time is quality time.<\/li>\n
  7. Do not commit adultery.Adultery destroys a marriage and is a sin against God and against your mate.<\/li>\n
  8. Everyone in a family should work for the mutual benefit of the family.No child should be without chores or without the knowledge that work brings fulfillment.<\/li>\n
  9. Pray together and read the Bible together.Nothing strengthens a marriage and family more.Nothing is a better defense against Satan.<\/li>\n
  10. Every family member should be concerned about every other member of the immediate family includinggrandparents,uncles and aunts,cousins,and in-laws.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    No one is truly a success in God\u2019s eyes if his family is mess.<\/p>\n
