神的建造

“若不是耶和华建造房屋，建造的人就枉然劳力；若不是耶和华看守城池，看守的人就枉然警醒。”

诗篇127:1

在《三只小猪》的童话故事里，小猪们分别给自己盖了三栋房子，以防备大灰狼的侵犯。一只小猪用茅草盖房子；第二只小猪用木头盖房子；第三只小猪用砖头盖房子。当大灰狼来的时候，他只要一吹一撞，茅草房和小木屋就倒了，但是他却不能撼动砖头盖的房子。

主日学里常常传唱：“聪明人把房子建在磐石上。”智者的确把房子建造在主耶稣基督这块磐石上，因为用任何其他物质建造的或建立在任何其他物质上的都经不起时间的考验。

在大城市，我常看到很多旧建筑被拆毁，为了新的建筑腾出空间。美国有些老房子，历史常常还不到一百年。在欧洲，却有很多数百年之久的老建筑。但是，即便是这些老建筑也可能因天灾人祸而被摧毁。

只有建立在耶稣基督根基之上的，才会长存。正如一首诗中所说：“仅此一生，转眼即逝；為主所作，永远长存。”（作者为宣教士施达德-C.T.Studd）

今日祷告：

天父，我把我的一家建立在顺服耶稣基督的根基上。求你引导我，用你的圣灵充满我，让我能更好地顺服你；奉耶稣的名，阿门。

THE WISE BULDER

Except the Lord build the house,they labor in vain that build it:except the Lord keep the city,the watchman waketh but in vain.Psalm 127:1

You will recall that in the fairy tale The Three Little Pigs the pigs built three houses for themselves for protection against the Big Bad Wolf.One little pig built his house of straw.The second little pig built his house of wood.The third little pig built his house of brick.When the Big Bad Wolf came along,he“huffed and he puffed”and blew down the houses that were built of straw and wood,but he could not move the house built of brick.

There is a song still sung in Sunday school classes:“The wise man built his house upon the rock…”The wise man does build his house upon the rock-the Lord Jesus Christ-for nothing built of or on any other substance will stand the test of time.

In big cities I often see wrecking balls destroying old structures to make way for new ones.Some of these“old structures”in America are frequently less than a hundred years old.In Europe,buildings several centuries old are common.But even these buildings can be destroyed,by a natural disaster if not by man.

Only what is built on the solid foundation of Christ will last.As the poem says,“Only one life,‘twill soon be past.Only what’s done for Christ shall last.”

Pray for the Day:

Father,I build my house on the foundation of obedience to Jesus Christ.Guide me and fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can obey You better;in Jesus’Name,Amen.
