清新的使者

“说了这话，就向他们吹一口气，说：「你们受圣灵！」”

约翰福音 20:22

上帝的呼气是清新的。永远是清新的。就好像祂不间断地供应着曼妥思薄荷口香糖。上帝是天地万物最伟大的创造者。他吹一口气，万物就生机盎然。当上帝开始新的一天，祂的呼吸和你不同。你一个晚上打呼酣睡，醒来时的呼吸能使生物卷缩枯萎。上帝的呼气吸引万物，使其朝气蓬勃。上帝的气息，赋予丰盛的生命和无限的力量。

当上帝创造亚当之时，他就是一堆被打造好的筋骨摆放在那里，直到上帝将生命的气息吹进他的里面。然后亚当成为有灵的活人，并且为各类飞禽走兽命名，如鸭嘴兽、海牛等。（创2:20）上帝给以西结 有关枯骨的异象，那些骸骨原本堆在那里直到上帝将气息吹进它们里面。他们便复活了（结37:5）。耶稣差遣门徒时，他们同样张口结舌、一脸迷茫地站在那里。直到主耶稣将上帝的气息——圣灵赐给他们，然后他们才走遍世界，广传福音，改变了历史。

今日祷告：

主耶稣，我本是不配的人，求祢赐给我祢的气息。将祢的灵充满我，使我灵魂苏醒。奉主耶稣基督的圣名，阿们！

February 26 – The Fresh Maker

Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

God’s breath is fresh. Always fresh. It’s like he has a constant eternal supply of Mentos, those mints with cheesy commercials and a great slogan. God is like the ultimate “Fresh Maker” of heaven and earth. Everything he breathes upon flourishes with life. When he starts the day, his breath is not like yours after a night of snoring. When you wake up and breathe, things wilt

and coil back. But when God breathes, everything draws closer and opens up for even more. God’s breath gives abundant life and incredible power.

When he created Adam, he stood there as a lump of molded sinew, until God breathed into him the breath of life. Then he blossomed with relationship and had a lively time naming things like the platypus and the manatee. When God gave Ezekiel a vision of dry bones, they stood there as

lumps of reformed sinew until God breathed on them the breath of life. Then they lived again. When Jesus commissioned his followers, they stood there as speechless lumps of confused sinew, until he breathed on them and gave them the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. Then they ran through the world changing the air of history.

Pray for the Day:

Lord Jesus, breathe in me today, this unworthy soul. Take this lump of sinew and breathe in me, expand my lungs and revive my soul. Amen.
