经历风暴

“坚心倚赖你的，你必保守他十分平安，因为他倚靠你。”

以赛亚书26:3

有一次，我去非洲的一些城市，在飞机上我跟几位随行记者分享自己的见证。他们似乎没人对福音感兴趣。突然间，飞机碰到气流，开始剧烈摇晃和上下颠簸。当我们穿过气流，恢复平稳后，一位记者走过来对我说：“你刚才提到死亡后的生命是怎么回事？”

耶稣当年和几个门徒在加利利海上乘船，也是经历了一场大风暴。门徒们惊慌失措，耶稣却在安然入睡。他们去唤醒耶稣，耶稣却责备他们没有信心，然后主就斥责风浪，风浪就平静了！门徒们也哑口无言了！

有一首古老的赞美诗写道：“在风暴中祂给我们平安。”人生中会遇到各种风暴：信仰危机、物欲横流、世俗泛滥、道德沦丧、国际争端，等等。

耶稣在风暴中之所以能有平安，是因为他和天父有亲近的关系，这种关系带来平安。上帝也希望和我们有这样的关系。当你遇到人生的风暴时，你会害怕、恐惧吗？你可以拥有平安，只要你信靠耶稣基督，阅读上帝的话语，恒切祷告。

今日祷告：

天父，在我们生命中遇到艰难和试炼的时候，我们知道你会与我们同在。我们祈求你赐予我们平安，在任何环境中，都充满喜乐。奉主耶稣基督的圣名，阿们。

THE SOTRMS OF LIFE

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,whose mind is stayed on thee.Isaiah 26:3

Once while flying between cities on the African continent,I began to share my faith in Christ with some reporters who were accompanying me.None seemed interested in hearing the Gospel.

Suddenly,the plane entered a very turbulent store.The plane shook and began to bounce up and down.

After we had successfully come through the storm,one of the reporters approached me and said,“What were you saying about life after death?”

When Jesus was on the Sea of Galilee with some of His disciples,a storm came up and began to toss the boat around.His disciples cried out in fear,but Jesus slept at the stern of the boat,unafraid and unintimidated by the weather.

When they awakened Him,He rebuked them for their lack of faith,and then He rebuked the storm.Both the storm and the disciples were silenced!

There is a wonderful old hymn which says,“He gives us peace in the midst of storm.”In life there are all kinds of storms:storms of unbelief;storms of materialism(mostly brought about by those who want more material things than they have):storms of secularism,moral degeneracy,and international tensions.

Jesus was at peace in the midst of that storm because He and His heavenly Father had a relationship that gave Him peace.It is that type of relationship that God wants to have with us.

Are storms in your life making you afraid?You can have peace despite the storms.Stay close to Jesus Christ.Read God’s Word.Pray.

Pray for the Day:

Father,in the midst of the difficulties and trials of our life,we know that You will be with us.We know that You care for us.We pray that You will give us peace,and fill us with joy regardless of the circumstances;in Jesus’Name,Amen.
