永远的爱

“古时耶和华向以色列显现，说：我以永远的爱爱你，因此我以慈爱吸引你。”

耶利米书31:3

是爱，神的爱，让先知的口中说出这样的话：“我们都如羊走迷；各人偏行己路；耶和华使我们众人的罪孽都归在他身上。”（以赛亚书53:6）

是爱，神全备的爱，让这些预言都得到应验。在一个特定的日子、特定的地点，神的儿子来到这个世界。

是爱，神的儿子和天父一样眷顾世人，怜悯恩待生病的、苦难的和有罪的人；

是爱，耶稣基督甘愿贫穷，因着他的贫穷，我们得到富足；

是爱，神圣的爱，使他轻看羞辱、忍受十字架的苦难以及罪人对他的否认。

当他被冤枉、被指控亵渎神，和盗贼一起被处死的时候，是爱，使他毫不反击。正是因为爱，他没有差遣十二营的天使来保护祂；

当身旁的犯人向他喊道：“耶稣啊，你得国降临的时候，求你记念我！”，是爱，使他忍受着巨大的痛苦，赐给了一个悔改的罪人新的生命。

正是因为爱，在经受各种酷刑之后，他向父神祷告说：「父啊！赦免他们；因为他们所做的，他们不晓得。」（路加福音23:34）

今日祷告：

天父啊，你的爱奇妙无比！你的爱长阔高深！我们感谢你的爱！奉耶稣的圣名，阿们！

IT WAS LOVE…

“Yea,I have loved thee with an everlasting love:therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.Jeremiah 31:3

It was love,the love of God,that put words such as these into the mouths and hearts of the prophets:“All we like sheep have gone astray;we have turned every one to his own way;and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all”(Isaiah 53:6).

It was love,the unerring love of God,that brought these prophecies into precise fulfillment.On a specific day marked on earth’s calendar and in a specific place marked on earth’s map,the Son of God came to this planet.

It was love that prompted the Son of God to reflect the same affection for the world as did God the Father,and to show a selfless compassion to the sick,the distressed,and the sin-burdened.

It was love that enabled Jesus Christ to become poor that we through His poverty might be rich.

It was love,divine love,that made Him endure the cross despising the shame,and made Him endure the contradictions of sinners against Himself.

It was love that restrained Him when He was falsely accused of blasphemy and was led to Golgotha to die with common thieves;He raised not a hand against His enemies.

It was nothing but love that kept Him from calling twelve legions of angels to come to His defense.

It was love that made Him,in a moment of agonizing pain,pause and give life to a repentant sinner who cried,“Lord,remember me when Thou comest into Thy kingdom!”

It was love that,after every known torture devised by degenerate man had been heaped upon Him,caused Jesus to lift His voice and pray,“Father,forgive them;for they know not what they do”(Luke 23:34)

Father,Your love is amazing!Your love is great!Thank you for Your love;in Jesus’Name,Amen.
