比雪更白

“求你用牛膝草洁净我，我就干净；求你洗涤我，我就比雪更白。”

诗篇51:7

几百年来，白色一直象征着洁净。先知以赛亚在论到洁白时，用的是他能想到的最白的东西——雪（白来比喻无罪之身）。他听到“耶和华说：你们来，我们彼此辩论。你们的罪虽像朱红，必变成雪白；虽红如丹颜，必白如羊毛。”（以赛亚书1:18）

雪很白，不管什么东西掉在上面，你都会看见，哪怕从很远的地方看。我们可以找到最白的东西，例如新洗好的白布，但是如果把它放在白雪旁边，相比之下就仍然显得很脏。

我们的生命也是如此。有时候，我们也许以为自己品德高尚，很正派，为自己的清高而沾沾自喜。但是一和上帝的圣洁相比，我们立刻无地自容。

尽管我们有罪和不洁，上帝依然爱着我们。祂要洗净我们，这是我们靠自己永远不可能做到的。所以上帝就把他的独生儿子耶稣基督赐给我们。耶稣在十字架上为我们舍命。只有当我们的罪被基督的宝血洗净之后，在上帝眼中我们才会显得洁白如雪。没有任何善行或清洁的思想能使人洁白纯净。只有基督宝血才能得胜。而且在我们得救之后，也只有基督的宝血能够继续保守洁净我们。

请思考这个奇妙的真理。让耶稣来洁净你。

天父，求你用耶稣的宝血洁净我，使我洁白如雪。奉主耶稣的名，阿们。

WHITER THAN SNOW

…Wash me,and I shall be whiter than snow.Psalm 51:7

For centuries,the color white has signified purity.Isaiah spoke of purity in terms of the whitest thing he could think of-snow-when he said,“Come now,and let us reason together,saith the Lord:though your sins be as scarlet,they shall be as white as snow…”(Isaiah1:18).

Snow is so white that one can see almost anything that is dropped on it,evern up to great distances.We can take the whitest object we can find,like newly washed clothing,but when we place it next to snow it still looks dirty by comparison.

Our lives are like that.At times,we may think of ourselves as morally good and decent,content that“we are not like other men.”But compared to God’s purity,we are defiled and filthy.

In spite of our sins and uncleanness,God still loves us.He decided to provide for us a purity we could never attain on our own.That is why He gave His Son,Jesus Christ,to die for us on the cross.It is only when our sins have been washed in the blood of Christ that we appear as white as snow in the eyes God.No human“detergent”of good works or clean thoughts can make us that white,that pure.Only Christ’s precious blood can do that,and it is only His blood that can continue to cleanse us from sin after He has saved us.

Reflect on that wonderful truth.Claim it for your own life.
