警醒人生

“我们的主为大，最有能力；他的智慧无法测度。”

诗篇147:5

一些神学家不愿意谈论神的温暖、神的大爱和神的怜悯。但是神的爱不会改变。祂不会因为我们不配得而不爱我们。事實上，祂照着自己的形象创造我们，乃是希望我们可以爱祂，如同祂将祂的爱倾注在我们身上一样。在我们与他的关系中，祂要我们有能力自己取舍。神不会满足于机械服从的、机器人式的爱。只有自愿自发的爱才能满足神的心。

没有神的爱，我们何来新的生命？

几年前我的一个朋友站在北卡罗来那州的一座山顶上。那时道路蜿蜒曲折，很难看到远处的路况。他看到两辆汽车相对开过来。我的朋友意识到他们看不见对方。这时候，第三辆车开始超越其中一辆车，它看不到拐弯处另一辆车正在接近。我的朋友大声喊叫，试图警告他们。但是，那些司机不可能听见。于是，他在山上眼睁睁看着一场致命的惨祸发生了。

全知的神就是这样在高处看着我们。他看到过去发生的事，现在发生的事，以及将要发生的事。在圣经里，祂一次又一次地警告我们前方的困境、问题、患难和审判。多少次我们都忽视了祂的警告。

神看见一切、知道万事。而我们却总是一叶障目、不见泰山。

今日祷告：

天父，您真伟大。你是我的主。你有无限的能力和智慧。天父，我们信靠你；奉耶稣的名，阿门。

THE MAN ON THE MOUNTAIN

Great is our Lord,and of great power:his understanding is infinite.Psalm 147:5

Some theologians have made attempts to rob God of His warmth,His deep love for mankind,and His sympathy for His creatures.But God’s love is unchangeable.He loves us in spite of knowing us as we really are.In fact,He created us because He wanted other creatures in His image in the universe upon whom He could pour out His love,and who,in turn,would voluntarily love Him.He wanted people with the ability to say“yes”or“no”in their relationship to Him.Love is not satisfied with an automaton-one who has no choice but to love and obey.Not mechanized love,but voluntary love satisfies the heart of God.

Were it not for the love of God,none of us would ever have a chance in the future life!

Some years ago a friend of mine was standing on top of a mountain in North Carolina.The roads in those days were filled with curves,and it was difficult to see very far ahead.This man saw two cars heading toward each other.He realized that they couldn’t see each other.A third car pulled up and began to pass one of the cars,although there wasn’t enough space to see the other car approaching around the bend.My friend shouted a warning,but the drivers couldn’t hear,and there was a fata l crash.The man on the mountain saw it all.

This is how God looks upon us in His omniscience.He sees what has happened,what is happening,and what will happen.In the Scriptures He warns us time after time about troubles,problems,sufferings,and judgment that lie ahead.Many times we ignore His warnings.

God sees all and knows all.But we are too limited by the circumstances to see the“big picture.”

Father,You are great.You are the Lord.You have infinite power and understanding.Father,we trust You;in Jesus’Name,Amen.
