见证主道

那城里有好些撒玛利亚人信了耶稣，因为那妇人作见证说：“他将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了。”

约翰福音4:39

当时叙加整座城的人都听到了福音，而这座城的伟大复兴令人震惊之处在于：神竟使用像撒玛利亚妇人这样一个罪人来传福音。门徒们已经进了城，但人们对他们不怎么感兴趣。

然而，就在一两个小时之后，一个曾是妓女的妇人却让全城人都兴奋不已。几分钟后他们一个接一个都要去见基督。当时神并没有选择使用教会的领袖们，却使用一个曾经是妓女的妇人。

回顾教会历史，我们一次又一次地被这样的事实所震惊：上帝使用了最无用、最不配的器皿，带来灵魂的觉醒。

保罗在《哥林多前书》中所阐述的原则一次次得到证实：“神却拣选了世上愚拙的，叫有智慧的羞愧；又拣选了世上软弱的，叫那强壮的羞愧；神也拣选了世上卑贱的，被人厌恶的，以及那无有的，为要废掉那有的”（哥林多前书1:27-28）。

因此，无论我们今天感觉多么不堪、不配，神仍然可以使用我们。纵观历史，神选择了平凡的、不配的和最不可能的人。

如果两千多年前神能使用这样一位妇人，为叙加城带来复兴，那么，今天如果我们把自己交在神手中，神更能使用你、我！祂会在我们的社区、我们的村镇、我们的城市、我们的国家使用我们！

今日祷告：

父啊，我知道我不配，但求祢使用我来荣耀祢的圣名；祷告奉耶稣的名，阿们。

ONE WOMAN’S TESTIMONY

Many Samaritans from that city believed in him because of the woman’s testimony,“He told me all that I ever did.”John 4:39,RSV

The striking thing about this great revival at Sychar,when an entire city listened to the Gospel,is how God used a former sinner like this woman to be an evangelist.The disciples had gone to the city,and there had been little interest in them.

However,an hour or two later a woman who had been a prostitute threw the entire population into a ferment of excitement;and in a few minutes they were streaming out to meet with Christ.God had not chosen to use the church leaders.He had chosen to use a former prostitute.

As we look at history time and again,we are struck time after time by the fact that God has used the most unlikely and the most unworthy instruments to bring about spiritual awakening.

Time after time the principle is found exemplified that Paul laid down in I Corinthians,“God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the…mighty;and base things of the world,and things which are despised,hath God chosen,yea,and things which are not,to bring to naught things that are”(I Corinthians 1:27-28).

Thus,no matter how sinful or unworthy we may feel today God can use us.Throughout history God has chosen ordinary people and unworthy people and the least likely people.

If God could use such a woman two thousand years ago to bring a revival to the city of Sychar,how much more God could use you and me today if we would put ourselves in His hand!He can use us in our community,our town,our city,our country!

Father,I know that I am unworthy,but use me to glorify Your Name;in Jesus’Name.
