罪得赦免

“上帝所要的祭就是忧伤的灵；上帝啊，忧伤痛悔的心，你必不轻看。”

诗篇51:17

荷兰圣徒彭柯丽（Corrie Ten Boom）讲过一个故事。一个小女孩打碎了妈妈的小咖啡杯。小女孩哭着来到她妈妈面前说：“妈妈，对不起，我打碎了您漂亮的杯子。”妈妈回答说：“我原谅你，不要哭了。”然后妈妈把杯子的碎片扫起来扔进垃圾桶。但是，这个小女孩还是有犯错误的感觉。她跑到垃圾桶那里，捡起杯子碎片，又来到妈妈面前，哭着说：“妈妈，对不起，我打碎了你漂亮的杯子。”这一次妈妈不容分辨地对她说：“把那些碎片扔回到垃圾桶里去！别再傻乎乎地捡回来。我已经跟你说原谅你了。别再哭了，不要再去捡那些碎片了！”

认罪悔改可以消除心中的自责。“我们若认自己的罪，上帝是信实的，是公义的，必要赦免我们的罪，洗净我们一切的不义。”（约翰一书1:9）

然而，大卫犯罪的故事（诗51）告诉我们，罪的赦免并不排除罪的自然后果。杀人的罪可以被赦免，但是却不能让被杀的生命起死回生。

今日祷告：

父啊，我罪孽深重。它们重压在我的身上，而你的饶恕是轻省的。你在基督里已经赦免了我们；奉耶稣的名，阿门。

PICKING UP THE PIECES

The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;a broken and contrite heart,O God,thou wilt not despise.Psalm 51:17 RSV

Corrie Ten Boom tells a story of a little girl who broke one of her mother’s demitasse cups.The little girl came to her mother sobbing,“Oh,Mama,I’m so sorry I broke your beautiful cup.”

The mother replied,“I know you’re sorry and I forgive you.Now don’t cry any more.”The mother then swept up the pieces of the broken cup and placed them in the trash can.But the little girl enjoyed the guilty feeling.She went to the trash can,picked out pieces of the cup,brought them to her mother and sobbed,“Mother,I’m so sorry that I broke your pretty cup.”

This time her mother spoke firmly to her,“Take those pieces and put them back in the trash can.Don’t be silly enough to take them out again.I told you I forgave you,so don’t cry anymore,and don’t pick up the broken pieces anymore.”

Guilt is removed with confession and cleaning.“If we confess our sins,he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”(1 John 1:9).

However,the story of David’s sin(Psalm 51)shows that forgiveness does not preclude the natural consequences of our sin.Murder can be forgiven,but that does not bring the dead to life again.

Father,my sins are wicked.They weigh heavily upon me,but Your forgiveness is light.And You have given us forgiveness in Jesus;in Jesus’Name,Amen.
