服事人

但你们不可这样；你们里头为大的，倒要像年幼的，为首领的，倒要像服事人的。”

路加福音22:26

当耶稣和门徒准备吃晚饭，迎接那特别的一天的时候，祂说了一段让门徒很惊奇的话语。“一般来说，主人坐在桌子的首位，有众仆人来服事他。但现在不是这样。今天，我是你们的仆人。”耶稣完全可以要求门徒的效忠，可以叫他们拿拖鞋，上一杯柠檬冰茶。他甚至可以使唤天使，可以叫他的门徒们都远远站着，特别是那个要出卖他的犹大。但是，正相反，他服事、照顾门徒。祂给门徒洗脚，给他们端茶倒水，夹菜加饭。耶稣反其道而行之。

今日祷告：

亲爱的耶稣，我不配你来服事。我何等卑微，而祢却如此爱我。让我今天所做的一切因祢而改变。奉主耶稣基督的圣名，阿们！

March 22–Serve

“But among you it will be different.Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank,and the leader should be like a servant.”

As he was preparing for the day ahead,Jesus said something startling.“Normally,”he said,“the master sits at the table and is served by his servants.But not here!I am your servant.”Jesus could have demanded their allegiance.He could have instructed them to bring him some sandals and iced tea(with a lemon slice and one of those little paper umbrellas).He could have called

down his angels and waylaid everyone in his path,especially Judas—the guy who was about to betray him.But instead,he attended to their needs,he washed their feet,and he served them food and drink.Jesus turned the tables upside down.

Pray for the Day:

Dear Jesus,I don’t deserve to have you serve me.I am humbled to be loved by you so much.Let me be changed by this truth in everything I do today.Amen.
