天上财宝

“「不要为自己积攒财宝在地上；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖窟窿来偷。只要积攒财宝在天上；天上没有虫子咬，不能锈坏，也没有贼挖窟窿来偷。”

马太福音6:19-20

不久前，当电视广告开始播出一个著名的股票经纪人的节目时候，人们就立刻停止手上所做的一切事情来看。也就是说，这个经纪人说的话，人们都要听。

如果我告诉你，你可以带某种与大众兴趣相反的东西上天堂，你会带什么呢？你当然不能把你的金钱、房产、汽车、或者投资带去天堂。因为你不需要这些。但是，你可以提前发送一些东西过去，等你到那儿的时候，你用得着。

有一位老人，很虔敬的基督徒，即将离世之前，把孙子喊过来，对他说：“我不知道神要我在天堂里做什么。但是，如果可以的话，我要请主耶稣让我帮你盖一座豪宅。你要记得把足够的、合适的材料发送过来。”

过圣洁的生活，带领其他人归主，奉基督的名做善事等，所有这些都是可以提前发送的材料。它们永远不会受到世界上的经济波动、自然灾害、或者窃贼偷盗的影响。

你会送什么样的材料去天堂呢？当建筑工程完工后，你将居住在什么样的豪宅之中呢？

今日祷告：

天父，我们感谢你天堂的应许。我们祈求您带领我们过正直的生活，当我们到达之时会得到诸多的赏赐。感谢你赐给我们永生；奉耶稣的名，阿门。

THE BEST INVESTMENT

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal,but lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven,where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.Matthew 6:19-20 RSV

Some time ago there was a television commercial in which people stopped whatever they were doing when someone began talking about a well-known stockbroker.The message was that when this broker talked,people listened.

What if I were to tell you that,contrary to popular belief,you can take it with you,depending,of course,on your definition of“it”?Now of course,you cannot take your money or your house or your car or investments with you to heaven.You wouldn’t need them anyway.But you can send things on ahead so that they will be waiting for you when you arrive.

An old man,a great man of God,lay on his deathbed.He summoned his grandson to come to his side.Calling the boy’s name,he said,“I don’t know what type of work I will be doing in heaven,but if it’s allowed,I am going to ask the Lord Jesus to let me help build your mansion.You be sure you send up plenty of the right materials.”

Living a holy life,leading others to Christ as we share our faith,doing good works in Christ’s name,all of these things are materials that may be sent on ahead and can never be touched by the fluctuations in the earthly economy,by natural disaster,or by thievery.

What kind of materials are you sending up to heaven?What kind of mansion will you live in when the building process has been completed?

Father,we thank You for the promise of heaven.We pray that You will lead us in righteous lives,so that we will have many gifts stored up for us there when we arrive.Thank You for giving us eternal life;in Jesus’Name,Am.
