圣灵印记

然而神坚固的根基立住了；上面有这印记说：主认识谁是祂的人。

提摩太后书2:19

卫理公会的创始人约翰·卫斯理说过：“很难用人类的语言来解释神深奥的事。”事实上，没有任何语言能充分表达神的灵在祂儿女身上的工作。然而，我所说的圣灵的见证，是指圣灵在灵魂中产生的内在印记，借此，神的灵直接并明确地向我的灵见证，我是神的儿女；耶稣基督爱我，为我舍己；我一切的罪都已被涂抹，我，甚至是我，已与神和好了。”

我们可以看到，当我们接受基督时，神就在我们身上留下了一个印记。这印记就是——圣灵。藉着圣灵的同在，神给了我们保证，并确定我们完全属祂。

圣灵也是神的保证，祂不仅为这个安排盖上了印记，祂还代表神自愿承担的责任，引导我们走完全程。与圣灵相交是我们在天国承受产业前所期待的一个预尝。

最后，圣灵藉着祂的话语与我们的心同证，基督为我们而死，我们因信已成为神的儿女。知道圣灵已经作为印记、保证和见证赐给我们，这是一件多么奇妙的事！愿这一切能使我们对神施与我们的爱有新的确信，并在我们寻求为基督而活时赐给我们信心。正如使徒保罗所说：“感谢神，因祂有说不尽的恩赐。”（哥林多后书9:15）

今日祷告：

神啊，感谢祢！因为祢那说不尽的恩赐——圣灵，赐给我们耶稣再来这充满盼望的应许。感谢圣灵带领我们，引导我们进入一切的真理，使我们确信：藉着耶稣的宝血我们已经得救了。天父，感谢祢！奉耶稣的名，阿们。

THE SEAL,THE PLEDGE,AND THE WITNESS

Nevertheless,God’s solid foundation stands firm,sealed with this inscription:“The Lord knows those who are his.”2 Timothy 2:19,NIV

John Wesley,the founder of the Methodist church,once observed,“It is hard to find words in the language of men,to explain the deep things of God.Indeed,there are none that will adequately express what the Spirit of God works in His children.But…by the testimony of the Spirit,I mean,and inward impression on the soul,whereby the Spirit of God immediately and directly witnesses to my spirit,that I am a child of God;that Jesus Christ hath loved me,and given Himself for me;that all my sins are blotted out,and I,even I,am reconciled to God.”

We can see then that God places a seal on us when we receive Christ.And that seal is a person-the Holy Spirit.By the Spirit’s presence God gives us security and establishes His ownership over us.

The Spirit is also God’s pledge.He not only seals the arrangement,but He represents God’s voluntary obligation to see us through.And fellowship with the Spirit is a sample of what we can expect when we come into our inheritance in heaven.

Finally,the Spirit witnesses to us by His Word and within our hearts that Christ died for us,and by faith in Him we have become God’s children.What a wonderful thing to know the Holy Spirit has been given to us as a seal-a pledge-and a witness!May each of these give us new assurance of God’love for us,and give us confidence as we seek to live for Christ.And with the apostle Paul may we say,“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”(2 Corinthians 9:15,NKJV)

Thank You,God,for your indescribable gift—the gift of the Holy Spirit given to us a promise of the hope that we have in Jesus coming back.Thank You for the Holy Spirit who leads us and guides us into all truth and gives us the confidence that we have salvation through the blood of Jesus.Thank You,Father,in Jesus’Name,Amen.
