见主荣面

我们在这里本没有常存的城，乃是寻求那将来的城。

希伯来书13:14

死最终将被废除。死的力量已被打破，死的恐惧已被消除。现在我们可以和诗人一起说：“我虽然行过死荫的幽谷，也不怕遭害；因为你与我同在；你的杖，你的竿，都安慰我”（诗篇23:4）。

因着基督的复活，保罗对死满怀盼望和期待。他说：“因我活着就是基督，我死了就有益处。”（腓立比书1:21）。正如北卡罗来纳州死囚牢房里的维尔玛·巴菲尔德所说：“我太爱祂了，我迫不及待地想见到祂。”

没有基督的复活，就没有将来的盼望。圣经应许，有一天我们将要与复活的基督面对面，我们的身体将与祂荣耀的身体相似。

与救主基督面对面，何等荣耀的相见，因他曾为我罪钉死，我羡慕见他慈颜。

面对面我与主相见，在那遥远的高天；面对面在主荣耀中，我必亲见主荣面！

今日祷告：

天父，我们殷切期盼那一天，能在祢的一切荣耀中与祢面对面。同时，求祢帮助我们，紧紧跟随祢、顺服祢；奉耶稣的名，阿们。

DEALING WITH DEATH

For here we do not have an enduring city,but we are looking for the city that is to come.Hebrews 13:14,NIV

Death will ultimately be abolished.The power of death has been broken and death’s fear has been removed.Now we can say with the psalmist,“Yea,though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil:for thou art with me;thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”(Psalm 23:4).

Paul looked forward to death with great anticipation as a result of the resurrection of Christ.He said,“For to me to live is Christ,and to die is gain”(Philippians 1:21).As Velma Barfield on Death Row in North Carolina said:“I love Him so much I can hardly wait to see Him.”

Without the resurrection of Christ there could be no hope for the future.The Bible promises that someday we are going to stand face to face with the resurrected Christ,and we are going to have bodies like His own body.

Face to face with Christ my Savior,

Face to face,what will it be?

When with rapture I behold Him,

Jesus Christ who died for me?

Face to face I shall behold Him,

Far beyond the starry sky;

Face to face in all His glory

I shall see Him by and by.
