真理的光

“凡作恶的便恨光，并不来就光，恐怕他的行为受责备。但行真理的必来就光，要显明他所行的是靠上帝而行。」”

约翰福音3:20-21

设想一下，你已经适应了一个黑暗的房间，这时候突然有人打开了电灯。你第一反应是：侧过脸，眯着眼，还要拿手挡着光。即便你是闭上眼睛，不知何故，在你的眼睑后面，你还是能够看到光照进视网膜的图像。

耶稣就像那道光芒。当他的光芒照着某些见不得人的行为，或某些阴暗的灵魂时，这种感觉可能是强烈并痛苦的。但耶稣的光芒也是美善的。他的光在创世之初就照亮了世界。他的光让上帝的子民脱离奴役，获得自由。他的光彰显了上帝的伟大和慈爱，并通过整本圣经表明了。耶稣创造了你是要你行在他的光里面。

调整你的眼目，来就耶稣的光。你要看见他的荣耀，他的创造之美，以及他给每个人的价值。不要退回到你原来的阴影中。

今日祷告：

亲爱的耶稣，不要让我继续在黑暗里徘徊。让我行在你的光里。奉主耶稣基督的圣名，阿们！

March 26–Flashlight

“All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

You know that moment when you’ve been in a dark room for a while and somebody suddenly flicks on the light switch?Your eyes recoil,your face winces and squints,and you inevitably shield your head from the glare of the bright beams.But even with your eyes closed,somehow behind those eyelids of yours,you can see the image of the light burned into your retinas.

Jesus is like that light.And when he shines into the darkness of someone’s actions,or the gloom of someone’s soul,the glare can be painfully intense.But the light of Jesus is so very good too.It was his light that illuminated the earth at creation.It was his light that led God’s people to freedom from slavery.It was his light that represented the greatness and love of God throughout the entire Bible.Jesus created you to walk in his light.

Adjust your eyes to the light of Jesus today.You were made to see his glory,the beauty of his creation,and the worth he gave to every person.Don’t recoil back into a shadow of who you were made to be.

Pray for the Day:

Dear Jesus,help me to stop groping around in the darkness.Call me to walk in your light.Amen.
